Wilmcote
This week's theme is the Warwickshire village of Wilmcote, where William Shakespeare's mother Mary Arden was born. This cross is in the churchyard of St Andrew's church.

The Centre of England
Meriden was said to have been the centre of England, though nowadays a location in Leicestershire has the honour. This monument remains however, to mark the traditional centre.
